2. Who Are We?

St Martin's
St Martin's is a very warm, welcoming happy Christian church situated in the West Midlands town of Walsall. St Martin's is a Church of England Church, in the Diocese of Lichfield, situated in the Deanery of Walsall.

It is in a cluster of five churches in central Walsall which work together to serve the wider area: St Paul's the Crossing, St Matthew's, St Luke's, and St John's in the Pleck (click here to transfer to the websites of the cluster churches).

St Martin's church building was completed and consecrated in 1960 following on from a church plant in the Longhorn Pub opposite. Initially this was to serve the newly built Orchard Hills estate and later the Brookhouse and Park Hall estates.

3. Worship at St Martin's

What is it Like?
We know that coming to church for the first time can be quite daunting, but we would like to make coming to church as easy as possible.

There are different styles of service to suit different people, from very informal services with contemporary music to more traditional services. If one service does not suit you, then please try another! Children are welcome at any of our services, and at the 10am service on Sunday they have their own special groups that they can join, we also have a creche for the very small children.

If you would like to come along to one of our services but feel nervous coming on your own, or have difficulties getting to St Martin's please contact us and we would be very happy to help you.

By clicking on the photo you will be transfered to a page which gives further details about the type of services we have at St Martin's.
